Painting and Finishing

Painting supplies

bullet

Brushes, 1" flat brush, small detail brush, round brush, old frade brush

Acrylic paint colors: golden brown, dark chocolate brown, medium brown, burnt sienna, black and white

bullet

Mini Wax polycrylic sealer

scrap of material to tie around the neck.

paint pallet, jar of water and towel or napkins to absorb water when painting

Pattern for arms legs and face.

I paint my lines with the chocolate brown.

I paint the feet on the bottom of the gourd.

My paint pallet has a combination of brown colors that I brush on to simulate fur.

I take my frayde old brush and start using brush strokes that look like fur.

I use the darker chocolate around the lined areas and the lighter browns around the face, arms, belly and ears.

I then take black and ad the eyes nose and mouth with a detail brush

I put a speck of white on the eyes and nose.

I use a brush on sealer of Min Wax polycrylic.

I take a piece of fabric to tie around the neck.
