Melynda's Heavenly Year 2008

2007-2008 Landscaping

Scenes from Quigley's Castle

The theme was chocolate!!!!! Flowers sunflowers and gerber daisies, colors brown, yellow, and red.

Kenny Greene of Monarch jewelers in Columbia, Missouri made their rings, the same jewelry that made Tony and my rings 25 years ago.

Thank You Everyone for making a beautiful memory.

Samson and Stephanie are now in Korea teaching English if you would like to keep up with their travels you can check out their website at www.stephanielotven.com

and now 2008 we get to enjoy all the hard work as the flowers absolutely burst open all spring and summer long.

Out my bedroom door,

I continued the landscaping on into 2008 this is March 2008

and now August 2008

......I SOOOOOOOO rock!!!!

My goal has been that everywhere I look it makes me smile. inside and out.

My view outside my kitchen window.

Check out Frog Hollow and more treasures on my 5 acre land.

My 25 anniversary was this year so I got my first diamond back around Christmas and my first honeymoon in May.....I was treated to a trip to Eureka Springs Arkansas on a crystal buying trip in my beautiful Mystic Blue Odyssey. We toured Quigleys Castle.... I so loved it and it inspired me so...... check it out http://www.quigleyscastle.com/

I knew I was bonded to this place when I saw the gourd in the corner of the house.

Quigley's Castle is the dream home of Elise Quigley (1910-1984). Her grandchildren invite visitors to wander through her perennial garden of over 400 varieties of flowers. The Garden paths wind around secluded benches, a lily pond and bird baths up to her home which she beautifully covered with stones she'd collected since childhood. See how she found a way to sleep in tree tops full of bloom. Tropical plants grow in the natural soil of the first floor and brush the ceiling of the second floor. She has a butterfly, fossil, crystal, arrowhead and glassware collection beyond imagination. Quigley's Castle is located 4 miles south of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. One can visit between April 1 and October 31.

A visit to Quigley's castle truly inspired me to create my own magical castle.

I'll take 2 ::))

May You too be living your dreams and building your own castle.
