Killian has had more near death experience I truly am
beginning to think he is a cat instead of a little toy Pom and is on his
6th life. He is about 500 years old suffers from seizures and has lost
some of his hair. He seems to be wearing a Mohawk these days. When he
walks his back legs move faster then his front and so he looks like he
is running sideways. He falls and rolls....well all the time. |

Bennie is our Wizard Dog. He showed up at our door,
chewing our NEW house about 6 months after we moved into our home in the
country. He was probably 6 months old when he must have been dumped on
the road and found his way to us. He always looked like a sage and
really never bonded one on one. He was named after a friend of my oldest
son who lived on the road but never came to his name. He didn't start
coming in the house until he was about 7 and when it came to shots and
baths you had to completely erase your mind.....if that dog knew what
you were thinking he was out of there.
About a month ago Bennie who is 18 now got very very
ill and him being a tumor dog we thought "oh this is his time." We took
him into Doctor Debbie at My Zoo animal hospital and she confirmed he
had a stomach tumor and what did we want to do. At that point I just
wanted him to be comfortable and be able to go outside as he so loved to
do and decide for himself if was ready to go find a nice grassy hill to
drift off to the other side as Simba did, but it was 0 degrees outside
and that was not possible, so we got him a pills for pain and fed him
can food. Well we have a new dog, he is not the same but I am so
grateful to have this time with him. He never would really allow me to
pet and love or was never in my kitchen under me, he and I are getting
to know each other in a different way and he doesn't mind so much me
petting and hugging him.
He still does not come to his name so we have tried
others, Merlin, Wizard...Rumpelstilskin. But we do know these wonderful
spirits that live around us have so much to give and offer and we will
do our best to enjoy and care for them. |

Cosmo
Cosmo is about 15 and suffers from a heart condition he must take
daily pills for. He tries real hard to be his normal self but he
struggles at times as well. |
