Collecting Melynda's gourds

My story goes, we moved out to the country the builder of our home left 4 gourds on our doorstep. Over the next few months they got gross moldy and I went to throw them away. They were hard and rattly so I scrubbed them up, painted them and this little Santa was my first gourd of those four that I sold to Elle Saitta.

Elle Saitta has been collecting my gourds for 15 years. She has a closet that is the Melynda gourd closet and she brings them out every year for Christmas.	This little guy started it all. I fell in love with the gourds and Elle fell in love with MY gourds.


	Each of Elles gourds was chosen with a meaning for that year. She says she also writes on the bottom special events they wish to remember for that year on the bottom of the gourd. The Tiger gourd her son graduated from MU and the Uncle Sam was the year of 911. I feel so honored to be a part of Elle, her Family and their Christmas tradition.
