2002 Contest
"Peoples Choice Award"
Send in a picture of your best piece of gourd art, and the 800 people plus, on my newsletter list and those surfing my site will all have the opportunity to vote once for their favorite .
The winner will receive the prize shown below and their winning gourd pictured on the first page of my website for a month.
So here are the rules.
1) Create a gourd piece that you enjoy making (this is a requirement, one must have fun when playing with their gourds). This is a gourd for this contest so please do not use gourds you may be entering in other contests. I really want to be fair on this and give everyone a chance so Create a piece for this contest only.
2) Take a picture and either send it to me in jpeg form or take a picture and send it in the mail to me at
Melynda Lotven 5401 O'Neal Rd. Columbia, MO 65202 and I will scan it in.
3) I will like to receive all pictures by May 20th, this gives you a full month and I will post pictures on my site to be voted on by the public. I will plan on my next newsletter being out the end of May with an announcement and link to the contest page.
4) One vote One person! The Public will vote for their favorite gourd, so take a good picture, you may give a little description to go with it but nothing too long and elaborate, short and sweet. Winner will be announced in June newsletter with all the votes received listed next to each piece.
5) ALL pictures will be placed on my website anonymously until after the contest. BUT if you have a Link to a website or Picture Trail that you would like me to place AFTER the votes are in I will be happy to place it with your name and picture, I only ask you reciprocate with a link to my website on your site.
